Improving Time-Saving Tools Is Part of Salesforce’s Summer 2024 Release
by editor
New products built on data, AI, CRM, and trust will help teams work smarter when they come out in the summer of 2024. The updates in this edition save companies time and make the experience better for users by giving them better search results, more personalized options, and more.
Let’s go over what’s new with Salesforce this year.
Set up and launch a store without a custom name
Before, you had to buy and set up a custom content delivery network (CDN) name in order to log in to the B2B Commerce Lightning Web Runtime (LWR) storefront. You had to buy a custom name even if all you wanted to do was make a demo.
You can now turn on the storefront to check out how it looks before you set up the custom name. After that, you set up the CDN and custom name when you’re ready to go live. This tool helps save money and time.
When you import goods, include attachments.
In the past, adding attachments to goods during the import process had to be done by hand, which took more time and made mistakes more likely. You can now add document URLs during the CSV file import process when you bring in product info. This improvement also saves a lot of time and brings together more of the important details about your products in one place.
Use Einstein’s Semantic Search
This improvement was already highlighted in the Spring 2024 release highlights, but I thought it was so important that I would bring it to your attention again this quarter. Einstein Semantic Search can help improve relevance, lower bounce rates, and raise conversion rates. On-site search is an important part of business. This tool can find different spellings, abbreviations, typos, synonyms, and more to help your customers find what they’re looking for.
Connect the Data Cloud to the improved LWR sites
Now that there are walled gardens and cookies are being phased out, it’s important to use your own data as much as possible to prepare for the future and improve customer experience. By connecting Data Cloud to your improved LWR site, you can get information about your site’s users, like their profiles and how much they interact with it. That information is sent to Data Cloud, where it is used to make user profiles, statistics, personalized suggestions, and to make the improved LWR site more personal.
View a list of what rights and privileges a user has.
There was a time when you had to click on several links and go to several places to see all of a user’s rights, object permissions, and field-level permissions. If you are controlling or troubleshooting access, you can now see this information right on the user’s detail page thanks to the User Access Summary. It will save a lot of time to have all of this information in one place.
